7th/8th 2d Art
7th and 8th grade 2D Art students continued to work on their zentagle drawings this week. We also continued discussing ways to handle stress. Last week students tried meditation and this week they tried yoga. Below is the video I used with students. I was very proud of students for putting themselves out of their comfort zone for the sake of their art!
A goal with our zentagles was to create balance in their artwork using the elements of line and color. Please see awesome examples below! The last day to work on their zentangle drawings will be Monday. This project is officially due 10/8 6th art
6th graders have been learning to create mirror images in their artwork. They looked at the artwork of Peter Max and read about how he uses color in his work.

Be sure check your students grade on Tuesday for midmarking. 7/8 2d ArtSo far in the art room students learned to use their art to say something! They are super fun! Super easy! And super relaxing! 6th ArtThis year we are operating under the motto, "BE AWESOME!" Students discussed in their groups what that might look like in the art room. Students also learned Art Room Procedures. If you would like to see our classroom procedures click HERE to watch our procedure movies.
