7th 8th 3D ArtLast week 7th/8th graders finished their paper mache letters. They worked very hard and they turned out awesome! I was impressed at the creative ways they painted their letters. More info about this project can be found HERE. Grades will be posted by the end of the day today. This week students began working with clay. They looked at the ceramic art of Pablo Picasso to create vases. Students used a template to help shape their vase. More info about this project can be found HERE. The wet clay due date for this project is today. I will fire the vases in the kiln when we return from break. Students will continue working with wet clay next week. 6th GradeThis week 6th grade students learned the one point perspective drawing technique. They are learning to draw a room. We practiced 3 times together as a class. On Friday they worked independently using the one point perspective technique to create their room drawings. Tuesday will be the last in class work day. The final project is due Tuesday 12/14.
Next week Wednesday students will begin working with clay. It is very important that students are present on days when we work with clay. Click HERE to see the clay project students will be working on! Students mirror image project was due today and will be posted on Powerschool. |
