7th/8th Grade7th/8th Grade students have been creating clay tiles. This project is inspired by Celtic Art. Click HERE to learn more about this project. When students are working with the clay the is wet. When clay is bone dry it will be fired in the kiln. Once the clay has been fired, students will glaze their tiles. This will be in about a week. Next week students will be creating clay fish. Click HERE to learn more about this project. Students were required to sign a clay contract before working with wet clay. Click HERE to read our clay contract. 6th Grade ArtThis week 6th grade students learned the steps for drawing a room using the one point perspective technique. They are creating room drawings. Click HERE to learn more about this project. Monday will be the last in class work day. The final project is due Monday 3/13.
Next week students will begin working with clay. It is very important that students be at school on clay days as the clay dries quickly. Click HERE to see the clay projects they will be creating.
